How to protect your WhatsApp account from hackers

The hacking of social networking sites such as WhatsApp has reached a point where people are now hoping to hear an interesting article for guidelines on how to protect their whatsapp chats.


In many cases, intruders (hackers) use a program to spy on a person's cell phone without anyone noticing.

In recent years, social media sites, especially WhatsApp, have become more intrusive.

Given that this intrusion is devastating, here are some tips that may help protect your privacy.

There have been times when security experts have told the Facebook page that owns WhastApp that; "Intruders send messages to people's phones, which when clicked, allow them to record information,the bbc hausa reported.

They also use WhatsApp call, to call in to gain access to the phone.

Even if the person does not answer the call, their device may enter some spying information into the person's phone due to the lack of security in the the phone.

Then the call record will disappear and you may not even realize that you have been called, because hackers can use their software to delete the phone call history .


Update your Applications frequently

Turning off the phone and turning it on or off completely is not the solution.

BBC hausa reported that in May 2019, WhatsApp advised 1.5 billion users of the software to update it after exposing some of the measures to protect the software from intruders.

If you do this there will be a red icon appearing in the software folder (depending on the type of phone being used iPhone or Android) it will not continue to work automatically.

Although WhatsApp messages are only visible between the sender and the recipient, but the incoming intrusion messages can be hidden .

There is a need to constantly update your software as new hacking techniques are constantly being introduced.


Reduce The Use Of Cloud Storage :

Did you know that a message stays between the sender and the recipient - this is the main thing that WhatsApp concentrates on.

But if you or your friends have saved your WhatsApp conversations in places like Google Drive or iCloud, then there is a problem.

Because the messages you store are not protected, only you and the person you are chatting with are allowed to see your messages , so anyone with access to your cloud can copy your data and any conversations.

So if one needs privacy, then he should stop using such cloud storages.

You may go into a state of shock and ask for solutions - but if your goal is to protect your phone and your privacy you can go to "settings" and change the mode of saving your conversations.


Sweet 2FA

If your software has this feature (which WhatsApp has), (2FA) are very helpful in protecting your data.

This is almost certainly the highest level of ensuring that people protect their identities from invisible intruders.

First, the person has to enter their username and password.

Then, instead of immediately giving you permission, it will need your fingerprints or your voice or other PIN numbers sent to you via phone number .

Sometimes more questions or information will be needed, such as the name of your favorite liking, mother's name and so on.

There are also two steps you can take to protect your privacy in WhatsApp settings.


Choose What Works Best For You :


WhatsApp and other softwares have their own ways of protecting personal data. Go to Settings> Account> Privacy to see how the system works.

Then you can choose who will see your appearance "last seen" and your profile photo and where you are "live location".


You can remove it from the sign indicating that a message has been read, and it will stop showing the blue mark when you read the person's message.

You can also customize how you want the software to work, and the people you want to see your message.

These intruders may be faster than you, whether you are a lawyer, a human rights activist, a journalist, a security personnel and any other professional.
